Discover the real cause of lower back pain!
So what is the cause of lower back pain? If you think that understanding what is causing your pain is the first step on your road to recovery, you are right. Why? Because unless you can target the real cause of your lower back pain - and not just the symptoms - you are not going to get permanent relief from it. You won't cure it. It will always come back. Problem But there's a problem. Most standard information available on this subject tells us that there is no simple answer. Instead we are told that there is no common cause of lower back pain, because everyone's pain is different. It follows, therefore, that every case of lower back pain has a different cause. Sounds reasonable doesn't it? Reasonable yes. But here's the rub - it's not true! There is a world of difference between the 'apparent' cause of most lower back pain and the real ROOT cause. And once you understand the real ROOT cause to almost all lower back pain, then - believe you me - that's half the battle won! The Apparent Cause So what do I mean by Apparent Cause? I mean the event that was apparantly responsible for hurting your back. For me it was trying to move a large bed which I was lifting (badly) some 22 years ago when I was just 17 years old. But of course the trigger event is different for everyone - sports, gardening, lifting something etc etc... The critical point to realise is that in almost all cases of lower back pain, these trigger events are just that - triggers. They are the final straw that cause an injury but NOT the real root cause of your lower back pain! And I am not just playing on words here. Mistaking the trigger for the real cause, is one of the main reasons why so many people struggle to fully recover, and their pain keeps returning again and again. The REAL cause(s) OK. So this is the bottom line. Unless you have suffered a major trauma to your back (a physical impact like a car accident or falling off a horse), or you have been diagnosed with a serious illness like cancer, the real causes of your lower back pain are almost certainly: 1. Muscle Imbalance. 2. Misalignment of your hips (pelvis) and lower spine. 3. Weak core muscles at the base of your spine. 3. Chronic Bad Posture. 4. Too much sitting and not enough movement or targeted stretching. 5. Not knowing how to counteract the above. 5. Time - and I don't mean age!
